Unica’s Placement and Adoption Services provide ethical, trauma-responsive guidance for children, birth parents, and adoptive families.
We help families navigate the adoption process, offer specialized counseling, and connect foster, adoptive, and kinship families to resources through statewide partnerships.

Services We Provide

  • Private Adoptions – Full-service coordination for families pursuing private adoption, including home studies, matching, and post-placement support.

  • Adoption Counseling – Confidential counseling for birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive families to address emotional and relational needs throughout the adoption journey.
  • Home Study Services – Licensed professionals complete detailed assessments and recommendations for prospective foster, kinship, and adoptive families referred through CYFD.
  • NM FIESTA Project – A partnership with CYFD offering free, statewide support, education, and community connection for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Learn More.

Adult behavioral health services are provided at Unica’s Moon location, with select telehealth options available. Primary Care Screening is offered on-site by our Nurse Practitioner.
